Slacker.....right here!

Wow...I have been a total blogger slacker!  I've been super busy lately.  Two weeks ago was Dave's bachelor party, so Joe was gone Saturday and part of Sunday, then this past weekend was Sheree's bachelorette party so I was gone Saturday and part of Sunday.  I've been trying to get the jewelry business up and running.  I haven't been able to get a whole lot made lately with everything going on and I'm waiting for my craft room to get done.  We have picked out counter tops so we just need them installed and for Joe to varnish the cabinets and it will be done!  I can't wait!!  Next weekend we have Dave and Sheree's wedding which Joe and I are both in.  I can't wait!  It will be so much fun!  This weekend Joe has dedicated to getting the yard and everything taken care of for the winter....sounds fun :-/

Luke is getting SO big!  I can't believe he is almost 6 months old!  His two bottom teeth are about half in and he is working on a top one now!  He sits up on his own really well, but he still doesn't roll from his stomach to his back (even though he can, he would rather be rescued).  He likes to sleep on his stomach.  Most of the time in the morning we find him sleeping with his head in the very corner of the crib face down.  Scares us every time.  He also has started taking naps in his crib!  YAY!  He doesn't like to take very long naps, maybe 40 minutes if I'm lucky and that makes for a more cranky baby.  We always take about a 40 minute nap on the couch together about an hour after he wakes up.  I started feeding him the 6 month old food yesterday.  We started with Mac n Cheese.  He's kinda been cranky the past two days so I wonder if it makes his tummy hurt.  Something I will keep an eye on.  He's starting making new sounds too.  I left for the bachelorette party and came back and he had started that.  He also acts like a lizard moving his tongue in and out.  He's getting pretty good at standing and holding onto something, but he can't pull himself up yet.  I always tell him he needs to walk soon cause he is so heavy to carry around all the time.

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch in Arthur which is about 20 minutes from here.  He had a lot of fun and he was super enamored with leaves and dirt.  These 3 pictures absolutely crack me up.

Here Luke is trying to eat some leaves and dirt

and here daddy takes it away

And this is what he thought about that
I got too many good pictures to even try and put them on the blog, but the rest of them are on facebook and snapfish.  We also went to boo at the zoo last Friday.  I don't think he knew what to think of that and wondered why he was dressed so weird but everyone thought he was adorable.

Two little monsters

cutest monster i ever saw!

And let me just say CARDS WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!  WOOHOOO  Now that the game is over, I'm going to bed.  I was up waaaaay too late watching last nights game!

5 months! My baby is growing up!

My "little guy" just turned 5 months the 9th!  I cannot believe he's 5 months already!  Time flies,  Recently people have been taking him for a one year old.  Tonight at the Olive Garden, the waitress asked if he wanted some grapes and I said no he's only five months!  Most people ask me twice how old  he is.  He is doing all kinds of new and exciting things.

- He now has 2 teeth, the two middle bottom ones.
- He can sit up unassisted, he does like the dive for stuff though and will fall over
- He's eating solids and he LOVES it, but then again who thought he wouldn't
- He is grabbing EVERYTHING he can get his little hands on
- He loves to shake his head no (I don't think he knows he's saying no) When I wake him up and he's no ready to be up he will shake his head no before he's really awake.

Friday we went to the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana.  It is basically just a HUGE craft fair.  It's all outdoors and there are vendors there selling just about anything you could ever want.  Luke was a very good baby.  He loves being outside!  He's going to be sad when he can't go out in the cold winter.

He had pumpkin ice cream and he LOVED it

He kept stealing Aunt Gracie's and shoving his face in it

Happy boy!

how cute!

Daddy carted him around when he got tired of sitting in his stroller

SK Jewelry Designs

I have opened up a store on Etsy!  I am selling handmade beaded jewelry!  I LOVE making jewelry.  My store name is SK Jewelry Designs if you search for shops on etsy.  I love to be creative and sell something you just can't get at the mall.  If you or anyone you know would like something made, I do custom work as well.

I am so excited to have my own shop!

My year old laptop died last week, so its in the shop to replace the hard drive (or whatever what wrong with it).  I would post pictures of jewelry but there all on my computer.   I am borrowing Gracie's mini laptop I gave her a while ago.  I am going nuts without my computer.  No to menchion I'm going to have to put all my programs back on and call for new code numbers for Office and Photoshop.  Such a pain the in butt!!!  So when I get it back I will put pictures up.  There are also some on etsy, but it's all stuff I made before my computer died.

I am such a slacker

Wow, it has been a while since I've posted a blog.  I have been super duper busy.  My BFF is getting married Nov. 5 so I have the bachlorette party Saturday, Joe went to the bachelor last weekend. I had the bridal shower last Sunday...its  just been crazy!!  I have also opened my own etsy shop to sell my handmade jewelry!  I am so excited about it!  I love to make jewelry!!  Joe's parents have been here since Wednesday and Joe and his dad have been working on my craft room and  I must say it is AMAZING!!  I LOVE IT!!!

They put a mini wall up so now I have a horseshoe shaped craft room.  The cabinets still have to be stained and we need the counter top but that's pretty much it!  I am anxious to get down there.  My beading is all over the kitchen table and I have ran out of  room so I'm ready to get into my big nice space.  Luke will also have room to play and a little bed to lay on.  I can't thank Joe's dad enough.  It would have taken Joe a long time to do since he's so busy with work!  I will be cracking the whip to get the stain done.  A counter top sales lady will be coming so I can pick out a counter and measure.  I will post pictures once it is completely done and I've decorated.  I'm so excited!!
